June Orientation introduces you to peers, academic opportunities, student life, and campus resources. Connect with your Red Fox community and get your questions answered. This one-day program runs on eight dates from May 30 to June 8, 2025, with identical sessions available on a first-come, first-served basis—register early! >> REGISTRATION OPENS IN EARLY MAY

Arrival: Check-in is from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the Murray Student Center.

Parking: Please use the South Entrance to the Marist campus and park in the Donnelly Hall parking lot. Student Orientation Leaders and signage will help guide you to your parking area.

Itinerary: Sessions will highlight a wide variety of academic opportunities, student activities, and campus resources. Residential students can tour residence halls and begin their housing application.  Commuter students will learn more about the options tailored to them. Lunch will be provided.

For Parent/Family members: Concurrently with our student orientation program, Parent/Family Orientation will offer insights into student life, academic resources, campus policies, Parent Council activities, and more.

What to bring: Besides your favorite note-taking device, we encourage you to bring an umbrella in the event of inclement weather, a refillable water bottle, and dress in casual, comfortable clothing, with layers, as temperatures in the presentation rooms can vary.

Departure: The program ends around 4 p.m. You may want to explore our Hudson River Valley Life website for things to do after orientation.

Can't make it to campus? We understand! Virtual Orientation begins in July and offers expanded information and supplemental data for those who can't attend in person. Through self-paced modules that we'll send you and your parent/guardian via Marist email, you'll explore academic opportunities, student life, and campus resources while getting answers to your most pressing questions. We even have specific virtual offerings for parents/family, too. Whether you're near or far, Virtual Orientation offers a convenient way to start your Marist experience with confidence.

Check your email in July for this helpful programming.

Arrival/Parking: For Residential Students, Orientation will begin for you once you’ve moved onto campus and attended the family welcome barbecue on the Campus Green. For Commuter students, you are invited to the barbecue and will check into August Orientation in the Donnelly Hall lobby. More details will be emailed to you.

Itinerary: August Orientation occurs from Opening Day to the Start of Classes. During your first days as a Red Fox, you’ll attend a combination of informational sessions and exciting student activities where you can connect with other first-year students. You’ll interact with Student Clubs. Meet faculty within your major. Take your Class Photo at Tenney Stadium. Hear from Housing (if applicable). And you’ll wrap up Orientation with a Block Party and fireworks on the Campus Green.

For Parents/Guardians: Join us for a Family Welcome Reception at the Cornell Boathouse led by our Office of Admission, where they can mingle with our faculty and staff, and learn more about Marist. More details will be provided via email.

Recognizing that Transfer Students have different needs and varying levels of higher education experience, Marist has designed our Transfer Student Orientation to provide students with opportunities developed specifically for undergraduates who have already attended another college or university. Marist's program gives transfer students the opportunity to interact with peers, faculty, and staff while orienting them to campus life and activities. Note: This program is not for adult learners.

For Parent/Family members: Join us for a Family Welcome Reception at the Cornell Boathouse led by our Office of Admission, where they can mingle with our faculty and staff, and learn more about Marist. More details will be provided via email.

Schedule of Events: Information will be emailed to transfer students in early August. Activities include a family barbeque, Meet Your Mentor session, and New Student Reception to kick off Welcome Week. Transfer students are welcomed at all events.  Download the Guidebook App to keep track of your schedule – coming soon.
